Broadway Comes to Hancock!
In this special concert, Not Your Typical Ingenue, not one, but three Broadway singers will grace the stage performing such hit tunes as "Don't Rain On My Parade" (Funny Girl), "As Long As He Needs Me" (Oliver), "People Will Say We're In Love" (Oklahoma), "I'll Know" (Guys and Dolls), and "What's the Use of Wondrin'" (Carousel). Star singers Rachel Gold, Kenisha Marie Feliciano, and Bebe Browning will be accompanied by Broadway music director Laura Bergquist.
Rachel Gold
Originally from Los Angeles, Rachel Gold is an actor/singer, composer/lyricist, and screenwriter based in New York City. She made her Broadway debut in The Phantom of the Opera, playing Christine Daaé. Most recently she was seen in Broadway at Music Circus’ production of Fiddler on the Roof, as Hodel. She played Scarlett O’Hara in the international tour of Gone with the Wind, the musical. When she’s not creating, she teaches voice and acting online. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan's B.F.A. Musical Theatre program.
Bebe Browning
Bebe Browning is a New York City based actress, singer, and dancer. Hailing from Mililani, Hawaii, Bebe has been the recipient of three Hawaii State Theatre Council Po'okela (Hawaiian for "excellence") Awards in the Hawaii community for her roles in Miss Saigon (Kim), Little Women (Jo), and Legally Blonde: The Musical (Vivienne). Bebe is a recent honors graduate of the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre where she was involved in productions of Les Miserables (Ensemble) and Caroline or Change (Radio). Bebe has performed around the country, including in Santa Rosa, California with Summer Repertory Theatre, and in Saugatuck, Michigan with Mason Street Warehouse.
Kanisha Marie Feliciano
Kanisha Marie Feliciano made her Broadway debut as Ann in Jame Lapine and Tom Kitt’s Flying Over Sunset at Lincoln Center. Since then, she has joined the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera as a Christine-Daee understudy, and performed as Lily in Broadway Sacramento’s production of Secret Garden. Kanisha went to Rice University and studied with Nova Thomas while pursuing an Artist Diploma in Opera Performance. She has performed the roles of Blonde in Mozart’s Abduction of the Seraglio, Amy in Adamo’s Little Women, Norina in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, and Baby Doe in Moore’s The Ballad of Baby Doe. In her free time, Kanisha enjoys roller skating, dancing salsa y bachata, playing the guitar, knitting, and spending time with her beloved dog Oliver.
Laura Bergquist
An experienced musical director, conductor and pianist, Laura Bergquist helmed productions on Broadway, national and international tours, and regional theaters all across the United States. Laura's original musical, Wreck the Halls, has been performed in New York City and regionally, and is now available for licensing. As a vocal coach, Laura brings a wealth of practical knowledge, expertise and insight to New York performers. Her clients work on Broadway and around the globe.
